The game between the Syracuse vs West Virginia will have a kick off time of 12:00 pm ET and will be held at the Mountaineer Field in West Virginia.
For the WVU side, West Virginia Mountaineers is now 5-1 overall, including a perfect 4-0 at home, as the Mountaineers have to be considered the favorites for the Big East championship. The Mountaineers’ suffocating defense was on display last Thursday, allowing 202 yards and forcing three turnovers in a 20-6 win over South Florida to extend their home winning streak to 12.
The unit is fifth in the nation, allowing an average of 245.8 total yards while giving up seven offensive touchdowns to tie Missouri for the fewest in the country.
On the other side, the Syracuse Orange were finally brought back to reality with a 45-14 humbling by Pittsburgh on Saturday. Running back Delone Carter had a season-low 38 yards with a score on 13 carries after totaling 277 yards and four TDs on 40 rushes over the previous two games.
Syracuse could use a more balanced offensive performance, after gaining 231 passing yards compared to 77 rushing against the Panthers.
With their all time game series and record, Syracuse leads with WVU, 30-27, but the Mountaineers have taken each of the past eight meetings. Last season, WVU posted a 34-13 victory over the Orange at the Carrier Dome.
