Erin Barry

Yesterday we had reported about the divorce filed by Eva Longoria on Wednesday from Tony Parker, and rumors were there that she had found hundreds of text messages on his mobile phone from their mutual female friend.
Yesterday we did not mentioned who the third person was. According to Sports Illustrated, the other woman is Erin Barry, wife of Tony Parker’s former Spurs teammate Brent Barry.
Writer of Sports Illustrated Bryan Armen Graham tweeted, “Have it on good authority from entertainment sources that “former teammate” in Tony Parker-Eva Longoria affair is Brent Barry… Don’t have much else on Parker/Longoria affair. Source did mention Barry and wife are going through a divorce.

National Unfriend Day

Happy National Unfriend Day, PopWatchers! Jimmy Kimmel created this dubious holiday to restore integrity to the word “friend” and encourage people to “cut out some of the friend fat in your life.” NUD, guided by its declaration of indefriendence, reminds us that “all men are not created equal. Some men are very annoying.” Heh.
“Remember five years ago when no one was on Facebook, and you didn’t know what the guy you took high school biology with was having for lunch? Remember how that was fine? Let’s go back to that,” Kimmel joked. But it’s almost too true! That really was fine, those dark days.
I fully support NUD, and not just because I like a goofy acronym — but boy, do I! No, it’s also because I love punishing people who take online quizzes. Most of those are just spam generators, you guys.
Who are you unfriending, PopWatchers?

Sexiest Man Alive 2010

On Wednesday, Kim Kardashian will host an ABC primetime special called 25 Years of Sexy: People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive! culminating in the reveal of 2010's Sexiest Man. So, who will it be? The internet is buzzing with guesses, based on the three clues that People has given us:

1. He looks sexy scruffy and cleaned up.
2. He has spent time on the small screen and the big screen.
3. You've probably seen him on a motorcycle.

Based on Twitter (#sexiestmanalive) and gossip blogs, here are our top five contenders for the annual honor:

1. Jon Hamm - The first clue seems to point most strongly to the dashing Mad Men star, whose starched-and-shaved character Don Draper is a major contrast to his scruffy-and-casual off-screen look. He also rode a motorcycle during appearances on 30 Rock and SNL and had major roles in two 2010 feature films (The Town and Howl).
2. Hugh Laurie - The charismatic House star is known to commute on a motorcycle, and looks just as handsome with or without the five o'clock shadow. The second clue, however, makes us wonder; Laurie has been concentrating on TV since House began and hasn't made a notable feature film in a long time.

3. Robert Pattinson - Another actor who's impeccably cleaned up in his signature role (Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies), and charmingly scruffy in real life. He rode a motorcycle in a famous Harper's Bazaar photo shoot with costar Kristen Stewart. But... TV? Does being awkwardly charming on talk shows count?

4. Taylor Lautner - The first clue could refer to Lautner's dual Twilight identity as human stud and werewolf. He also rides a motorcycle in the films, and got his start as a child actor on TV. But there's one big reason we're doubting this one: Lautner is 18, and People has never picked a teen for the title.

5. James Franco - The hot indie actor of the moment, he's been scruffy and polished, a TV star (Freaks and Geeks) and a movie star (this year's Howl and 127 Hours). Although we can clearly picture him on a motorcycle, we can't recall any specific instances.

Other popular guesses include Patrick Dempsey, Bradley Cooper, Jake Gyllenhaal, as well as perennial favorites Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and George Clooney (all of whom have won twice). Last year, iVillage readers correctly guessed that Johnny Depp would be crowned the sexiest man. So, who's your pick for 2010?

Omega Psi Phi

Omega Psi Phi: In an attempt to combat drinking on campus, junior Melvin "Maybach" Robinson has decided to provide students with weekly, non-alcoholic activities on Thursday nights.

Starting this Thursday, there will be weekly events held in the Student Union Building's Multi-purpose room for students. These events will be held in conjunction with Residence Life, Student Government Association, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Boyz II Men Mentoring Program and the baseball team.

Planned activities include board games, card games, karaoke, caricatures and music by Robinson who also goes by "DJ Maybach."

"There aren't enough social events on campus that people can go to for free and just hang out," Robinson said.

Sophomore Nykole Johnson agrees that there are limited things for students on campus. "I think it's a good idea for those students who don't indulge in drinking."

Temple University has a similar event in effect on Friday nights where they serve food and drinks to students, Robinson added.

Robinson also hopes to incorporate knowledge of various subjects in the events.

Residence Life had a similar idea with Thirst for Knowledge Thursdays, which works as an alternative for alcohol consumption. The phrase was coined by Carl Walton, director of the Horace Mann Bond Honors Program and interim associate provost for Student Development and Student Affairs.

"Student's have adopted the Thirsty Thursday culture," John Lowney, director of Residence Life said. "It's a positive thing because it gets students back to being academically focused," he said about the new Thursday events.

Since mid-October, Thirst for Knowledge has hosted programs, lectures, debates and additional events that range in nature. Every Thursday in the cafeteria, "mocktails," which are non-alcoholic variations of popular cocktails, are served to students.

"I want the programs to be student generated because students know what other students want," Lowney said.

Lowney hopes that the events to come will generate a lot of student participation as the ones held in the past. "I expect the events to be fun and encourage students to engage in different activities that enable them to still have fun in the absence of alcohol and drugs."

Bruce Beresford Redman

Prayers have been answered, but will justice be done? Former Survivor producer, Bruce Beresford-Redman has been arrested Bruce Beresford-Redman who has been accused of killing his innocent wife, Monica Beresford-Redman, has been reportedly taken into custody! Be sure to check out pictures and videos below!
Yes, according to reports, in Los Angeles this afternoon, US Marshals arrived on a warrant from Mexico and arrested Beresford-Redman at his home in Rancho Palos Verdes, California for the brutal death of his beloved wife. It is said that Monica died by asphyxiation while on vacation at a luxurious resort with her family in Cancun, Mexico on April 5th. Now, Bruce is set to appear before a federal judge in Los Angeles and is believed to be extradited back to Mexico.
The complaint included the following:
- “a forensic expert examined Bruce’s hotel room and found blood stains on a pillar in the room, on the sheets and on a railing.”
- “says two teenagers in the hotel room below Bruce’s were awakened by screams, crying for help and extremely loud banging from the room above … it sounded like a woman in extreme distress.”
- “The fact of BERESFORD’s affair was confirmed through emails obtained by the Mexican authorities in which BERESFORD admitted to his wife that he had been unfaithful.”
- “claims an employee at the hotel witnessed Bruce attempt to physically assault the woman whom he later identified as Monica.”
- “after Monica disappeared, authorities observed scratches/abrasions on Bruce’s hands, behind his ear, on his left shin and his right ankle.”
Beresford-Redman’s attorney, Richard G. Hirsch, is “disappointed by the United States Government’s decision to arrest Bruce Beresford-Redman. Based upon our investigation he is an innocent man being wrongfully accused by a foreign government. We hope that after full consideration of both sides, a federal court will decide not to extradite him.”
Even though he still denies that he had anything to do with his wife’s murder, let justice be served for Monica and their two children and all those who loved her dearly!
