Cam Newton
Auburn coach Gene Chizik responded to the multiple reports that quarterback Cameron Newton’s eligibility was under investigation by the NCAA.Speaking during his weekly radio show Thursday, Chizik was emphatic about his support of Newton.
“Unfortunately, I can’t comment on it. But here’s what I can and I will this say very loud and very clear: Cameron Newton is eligible at Auburn University, period. End of story,” Chizik said.
Auburn faces Chattanooga this Saturday before finishing its SEC regular season against Georgia and Alabama.
