"The majority of the new fleet comprises of 4WDs as we have experienced a higher demand for them this year in comparison to 2009. We also have the latest Sat Nav technology available for hire often requested due to of the nature of travel in Oman."

In light of the excessive demand for car rental, Thrifty Oman has also ramped up its road side assistance services to provide round-the-clock breakdown support," Jaffer continued. "Services such as these are imperative with the increased amount of road travel that takes place in the Sultanate during the cooler period."

In addition to the recent fleet and technology upgrades, Thrifty Oman has opened a new outlet in Ruwi, a prime business district in the Sultanate. "We have experienced an excellent year in terms of business revenues and developments in Oman.
