Yes, according to reports, in Los Angeles this afternoon, US Marshals arrived on a warrant from Mexico and arrested Beresford-Redman at his home in Rancho Palos Verdes, California for the brutal death of his beloved wife. It is said that Monica died by asphyxiation while on vacation at a luxurious resort with her family in Cancun, Mexico on April 5th. Now, Bruce is set to appear before a federal judge in Los Angeles and is believed to be extradited back to Mexico.
The complaint included the following:
- “a forensic expert examined Bruce’s hotel room and found blood stains on a pillar in the room, on the sheets and on a railing.”
- “says two teenagers in the hotel room below Bruce’s were awakened by screams, crying for help and extremely loud banging from the room above … it sounded like a woman in extreme distress.”
- “The fact of BERESFORD’s affair was confirmed through emails obtained by the Mexican authorities in which BERESFORD admitted to his wife that he had been unfaithful.”
- “claims an employee at the hotel witnessed Bruce attempt to physically assault the woman whom he later identified as Monica.”
- “after Monica disappeared, authorities observed scratches/abrasions on Bruce’s hands, behind his ear, on his left shin and his right ankle.”
Beresford-Redman’s attorney, Richard G. Hirsch, is “disappointed by the United States Government’s decision to arrest Bruce Beresford-Redman. Based upon our investigation he is an innocent man being wrongfully accused by a foreign government. We hope that after full consideration of both sides, a federal court will decide not to extradite him.”
Even though he still denies that he had anything to do with his wife’s murder, let justice be served for Monica and their two children and all those who loved her dearly!
