Kristen Hall isn’t about to be Pete Best-ed out of Sugarland. Though Sugarland, the best-selling award-winning country music act is known now as the duo of Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles, Ms. Hall, a singer-songwriter who founded the group, has obtained a settlement from her former bandmates after suing for profits she said she was owed after she left, The Associated Press reported.

Ms. Hall, who founded Sugarland with Mr. Bush in 2002, said in her complaint that she also served as the band’s manager when it started, and used her own credit cards to help cover its expenses. She was seeking more than one-third of the band’s profits even though she left in 2005 to go solo, and though Mr. Bush and Ms. Nettles said they had no profit-sharing agreement with Ms. Hall, who they said left them with nearly $100,000 in debt.

The A.P. reported that a judge in United States District Court in Atlanta signed an order on Friday saying the two sides had reached a settlement. Terms were not disclosed.
