The Minneapolis weather is not looking fine as of this report. According to the latest WCCO weather forecast, Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota are under heavy snow and winter storm warning has been issued.

… Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am CST Sunday…

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am CST Sunday.

* Timing… snow today and tonight. The snow will be heavy at times during the late morning and early afternoon hours. Snowfall
rates around an inch an hour are likely. The snow will decrease in intensity late this afternoon and evening from southwest to
northeast.

* Main impact… heavy wet snow with accumulations of 6 to 11 inches.

* Other impacts… very difficult travel conditions with strong winds. Trees and power lines may go down with the heavy wet
snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions…

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel… keep an extra flashlight…
food… and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning that runs through 6am on Sunday. It includes a large portion of the state from the southwestern corner through east-central and northeastern Minnesota and into northwestern Wisconsin including the Twin Cities metro. The warning also includes Marshall, Redwood Falls, Mankato, Hutchinson, Monticello, North Branch, Hinckley, Aitkin, Duluth, Hayward, Wis. and Rice Lake, Wis. areas.
