Pursuit Of Happiness

Pursuit Of Happiness: Did you see the Pursuit Of Happiness? Thomas Jefferson was undoubtedly a man of many talents and was once recognized as such by President Kennedy. However, Jefferson should’ve done a better job of choosing his words in framing the Declaration of Independence.

Because any nation whose establishment is at least partially based on the phrase “the pursuit of happiness” is doomed to come up short in the end. After all, my happiness may very well result in some other person’s misery, and the other person’s happiness may very well result in my misery.

On the other hand, a nation whose foundation rests on the highest of virtues is much more likely to survive in the long run. So I say, let the total demise of America come sooner and not later so we can get an earlier start on creating a new America. Perhaps we’ll get it right the second time around.
