The two golds increased China's lead at the pool over rival Japan, which collected two golds on Saturday.
Olympic champions Kosuke Kitajima from Japan and South Korea's Park Tae-hwan were due in action later Sunday in the men's 50 breaststroke and the men's 200 freestyle finals. Two other golds were to be awarded in the women's 200 backstroke and the women's 4x100 freestyle relay
