NYC Marathon Results 2010

The NYC Marathon 2010 is over for another year, with Ethiopian runner Gebre Gebremariam being the first to cross the line.

The results in the mens race saw Gebremariam clock in at 2:08:14, followed by Emmanuel Mutai 2:09:18 and Moses Kigen Kipkosgei – 02:10:39. The top 20 in the mens race in the graphic above.

In the NYC Marathon 2010 women’s race results, Kenyan Edna Kiplagat clocked 2:28:20, followed by Christina Ripp 2:28:40 and Amanda McGrory 2:29:01.

In the wheeler category, the men’s race has was won by David Weir 1:37:29, followed by Masazumi Soejima 1:37:31 and last years winner Kurt Fearnley 1:38:44.

The women’s wheeler race, the winner was Tatyana McFadden 2:02:22, with Christina Ripp 2:08:05 second and Amanda McGrory third 2:09:42.

Robin Quivers Marathon

Robin Quivers’ marathon debut was a success! Howard Stern’s sidekick completed a three-year journey of completely transforming her life by finishing the NYC Marathon today in 6 hours, 9 minutes. She ran to benefit her foundation as well as two charities that focus on improving nutrition among families – and she’s a great example for kids of how to do that.

She has lost more than 80 pounds over the past three years, changing to a vegan diet, which she credits for giving her the strength to run the marathon. “I could hardly walk two blocks a couple of years ago,” she has said.

Congrats to her and the other runners who finished today’s race!
