How Old Is Loretta Lynn

The 2010 Country Music Association Awards featured a lovely tribute to country legend Loretta Lynn. Sissy Spacek, who won an Academy Award in 1980 for portraying Loretta in "Coal Miner's Daughter," introduced singers Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow for a soaring performance of the song of the same name.

There were still pictures and video clips of Lynn in the background, it was a lovely tribute. But then it got 100x more awesome because 76-year-old Loretta Lynn herself came out on stage to join in the fun. Maybe we are naive, but we didn't actually expect to see her there.
Did you enjoy the tribute? We thought it was a wonderful way to honor such a legendary female country star. We'll post video just as soon as we can get it.

Stuck Like Glue Lyrics Sugarland

Sugarland, "Stuck Like Glue." No doubt the night's weirdest performance. I'm putting Sugarland in the so-embarrassingly-awful-that-it-was-kinda-awesome category. The stage was dressed like a music box, but it really just looked like a Target commercial. Jennifer Nettles acted like a wind-up toy, which finally explains her Elaine Benes-like dance moves, and for some reason there was a stationary tutu that was used as a prop.

Following?  Neither was anyone else here, yet just try to not watch this whole performance on YouTube. It's cringe-inducing, yes, especially the out-of-place reggae-rap thing (!?!). I think Sugarland just created ("concocted?") Nashville's "Troll 2." Grade: A.

Lady Antebellum

'Need You Now' has scored Lady Antebellum a No.1 in country and pop, plus record-breaking sales, but now they can add a CMA Award for Single of the Year to the song's list of achievements.

"I think Paul Worley should talk first," Hillary Scott said, referring to their award-winning producer, when the group took the stage.

"You guys can tell how much fun it is to work with these three and how great they are," Paul gushed from stage. "But if I won tonight, I wanted to thank my mom and dad," he kindly added, before putting the focus back on the trio.

"We want to thank our families, Paul, the musicians on the record and Borman Entertainment," Hillary said.

"And everybody at Capitol Records, CAA [Creative Artist Agency], the fans and my dad," Dave continued, motioning towards his father's seat, who had graciously agreed to accompany his son as his 'date' for the evening.

"Thank you to my brother, Josh Kelley," Charles added.

Lady Antebellum won the CMA Award for Single of the Year last year, for their hit 'I Run to You.' This is their fourth CMA Award.

Jennifer Nettles

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles took a major fashion risk in this blue strapless Carolina Herrera gown. The willowy blond matched the deep sea drama of her gown with gorgeous blue jeweled earrings and metallic blue eyeshadow.

The Country Music Association Awards were held on November 10, 2010 in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena. It was broadcast live on ABC and is considered one of the biggest nights in country music.

George Strait holds the record for most wins with 22 awards but Kenny Chesney holds the record for most wins in the Entertainer of the Year category with 4 trophies.
