Chelsea Begin Assistant Hunt

Chelsea have begun looking for a new assistant manager after Ray Wilkins' departure, with Gianfranco Zola being linked with the post.

Club legend Wilkins left the club on Thursday in acrimonious circumstances, with Chelsea claiming they had decided not to renew the 54-year-old's contract.
While little is known as to why Wilkins left the Blues have begun to move forward and are on the look out for a new assistant, with a host of names being linked with the job.
Having got rid of one club legend Chelsea could reportedly turn to fan favourite Zola, who is out of work following his sacking from West Ham in the summer.
Other names being linked with the post include AC Milan legend Paulo Maldini, who worked closely with Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti at the San Siro, Gus Poyet, who is currently in charge of Brighton, and former Chelsea assistant Steve Clarke.
